Kava Extract Tablets from Now Foods

This Kava Extract from now foods contains not only kava but also tryptophan, 5-HTP, valerian, hops, and passionflower. Since this product comes in capsule form there’s really not much to say about the taste. The strength however, seemed a little bit disappointing. They advertise that it’s 250mg and 30% kavalactones but the strength although noticeable, does seem a bit underwhelming. The added herbs are also said to promote relaxation, so some people may find this product appealing due to its overall value. This may be a decent product to use if you are on the go or you don’t have time to mix up some real kava powder. Overall the price does seem fair, but if you’re looking for...

Lami Premium Kava Root Powder

The first thing that stands out about this Kava root powder is that it’s very smooth tasting. So if you’re someone who doesn’t really enjoy the taste of kava, then you should check this product out. The best thing about Lami is that they source their kava only from organic and Pesticide-free kava farms. The taste and smoothness of this kava product can definitely testify to that too. Although this product isn’t quite as strong as a couple other kavas we’ve tried, it’s still quite potent overall. Unlike some other products we’ve tried, the texture on this one wasn’t clumpy or sticky at all, and it smelled like a very fresh batch of kava root. This is really just...

Mood and Mind Premium Kava Kava Root Powder

So we’ve been anxious to do a review on this product for a while now, and we finally got some time to sit down and write our thoughts on this. This product is one that we unfortunately overlooked at first. It wasn’t until recently that we discovered it, and gave it a try for the first time. Wow, we were definitely missing out because this is the highest quality Kava product we’ve ever tried. The product has a concentration of 10% Kavalactones, and so far that’s the strongest concentration we’ve found in any Kava root powder we’ve tried. If you’re not familiar with Kavalactones, they are the active ingredient in kava that determines how strong the effects of the...

FU’U Kava Root Powder

We recently tried out some of the “Fu’u Kava root powder” from a company called “Bula Kava House”. We were expecting some good things from this kava due to its claims of being one of the stronger products. This is one of the lighter colored kava products than what you normally find with standard kava powders. The first thing we noticed right off the bat was that the taste was a bit different from your normal kavas. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing however we agreed that it tasted like it wasn’t very fresh and that it may have been sitting around in a warehouse for a long time or something. The strength of this product was also a...

Kava kava root from Starwest Botanicals

What I love about Starwest Botanicals is that they’re products always seem so fresh when they arrive. I guess this is kind of expected from an herbal Botanicals specialty shop, but then again not many of these shops actually sell kava either. In fact, my favorite benefit of kava root is most definitely the freshness of the plant due to no added processes. Kava root products also tend to be cheaper than powders because less work goes into the product than your traditional kava powders. Anyways, Starwest kava products are truly top of the line and this one is no exception. However, keep in mind that when you buy a root product they do require some added work to prepare, and they typically do...

StarWest Botanicals Relaxation Extract

This kava kava extract tincture not only includes kava, but organic valerian, skullcap, wood betony, California poppy, and organic alcohol. These popular herbs have been favorites of herbalists, and those who are anxiety-prone for a very long time. No wonder called the Relaxation extract and guess what, that’s exactly what it does. The combination of 4 relaxing herbs in 1 extract is quite potent and really mellows you out.  This can be especially useful for sleep for those can’t seem to get a night’s rest, because it helps clear your mind and catch some...

KONA KAVA Premium hawaiian Powdered Kava Root Plus (16oz)

Kona Kava’s premium Hawaiian Kava kava root powder is quite the favorite among many in the Kava community. It’s pretty strong compared to some other brands although the taste isn’t amazing. It’s known for being very relaxing and good for helping to relieve anxiety. If you’re looking for a root powder that’s pretty strong and mellows you out, then this definitely isn’t a bad...

KAVA STRAINER – NYLON MESH BAG

If you’re looking for a good kava strainer this one is not a bad choice. Strainers are great if you want to make a lot of kava kava at once. If you’re just looking for something to make a decent amount of kava quickly and easily, we would recommend going with the Kava Shaker instead. However, if you’re really looking to save a few bucks this is $5 cheaper than the...

KAVA MAKER – ALUBALL® W/ 700ML SHAKER BOTTLE ACCESSORY

It’s time to forget about using a Kava bag or strainer for making your Kava. The Kava shaker cup and AluBall are amazing for preparing kava quickly and with ease. This is great for beginners or experienced Kava users that are tired of wasting time trying to make Kava the old fashion way, and don’t want to make a mess. It can even be used to make Cold-Brewed coffee, Cold-Brewed tea, or flavored water. Just be very careful when shaking to not shake too hard or shake without water due to the possibility of the shaker breaking. Also, this should only be used for cold beverages and not warm teas/coffee as that could also cause the shaker to break....

Kava Waka Fijian Kava Powder

Just like Vanuatu, Fiji is also known for it’s high quality kava products, and Kava waka powder is definitely one of the the best Fijian kava products available on the market.  This kava powder is quite fine, making it easy to strain, and it’s only made from Lateral and Crown Root only so it is extremely potent, which you’ll find out right away after opening the bag and smelling it. Not to mention, this stuff just tastes great and it’s also very smooth.  If you’re looking for premium a Fijian kava then you should definitely give this product a...

Kalm Instant Kava Powder – Tongan Pouni Ono (Great for Beginners)

Instant kava is probably the best type of Kava Kava for beginners that just want to try kava and see what it’s about. Unlike other instant kava powders, Kalm’s instant kava is fiber-free and the taste isn’t amazing but it’s got a pretty smooth texture for an instant Kava. Kalm Instant kava doesn’t require any extra preparation, you simply just add water to it and stir it up and it’s ready to be consumed. Normal kava takes about 10-15 minutes to prepare for optimal consumption. This is a decent brand of instant kava and it’s worth giving a try if you want something that’s very easy to...
